Meet our team
Dr Sue Ramoo
Medical Consultant
  • BVSc

Dr Sue Ramoo graduated from the University of Sydney in 2004 and worked in general practice for 2 years, where she saw lots of dogs, cats, a few goats, some sheep and a couple of cows! During this time she developed an interest in internal medicine which led her to undertake an internship in critical care and internal medicine, which was followed by a 3 year residency at the University of Melbourne Veterinary Teaching Hospital.

Sue has since worked in private referral practices across Melbourne and is well versed in all aspects of internal medicine. She has been published in various veterinary journals and herinterests include gastroenterology, endocrinology and oncology. Outside of work, Sue dabbles in floristry and cooking. She also loves food, wine and bush walking. At home, Sue has a 6 year old Border Terrier named Lizzie, and a Princess Parrot called Kayne.

It is great to have Dr Sue Ramoo available for in-clinic assessment of those more complicated medical cases.

Dr Victoria Cole
Lead Vet

Dr Victora graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2016 and started her veterinary career in a small animal GP clinic in the UK, before moving out to Melbourne in 2018. She spent a year working outside of practice in the field of animal welfare and has undertaken numerous voluntary veterinary positions around the world. Now back in clinic, she enjoys working closely with her clients to provide the right care for them and their pet.

Recently having accepted the role of lead vet, Dr Victoria is looking forward to continuing work with her team to provide a complete and wholesome approach to pet care, with a special focus on our young and geriatric patients. She spends most of her time outside of work running on the trails, cycling, swimming in the bay, and of course, recovering with her number one, The Magster.

Head Veterinary Nurse

Wendy is our Head Veterinary Nurse who loves to help lead the team and to give the patients loads of hugs during their clinic visit. Wendy has been with us since February 2021, prior to that she started her vet nursing career 10 years ago working at a veterinary clinic in regional Victoria.

Wendy is a fully qualified and registered Veterinary Nurse. She enjoys continued learning and sharing this knowledge to ensure the team continues to offer the best gold standard of care. Wendy is so proud to be part of the team here, a team that helps and supports each other.

In her spare time, she loves spending time with her daughters, their little dog Lexi, their two cats Chardie & Cleo (who rule the house!) and enjoys getting out on her motorbike to explore and unwind.

Wendy knows that challenges as a Veterinary Nurse make life interesting; but overcoming those challenges makes life meaningful. Wendy is obsessed with providing the best care for patients and enjoys building relationships with clients to ensure they feel comfortable and confident when leaving their fur babies in our care.

Wendy’s best tip: prevention is better than cure.

Dr Estelle Goldsworthy

Estelle grew up in regional Victoria on a hobby farm with cows, sheep, alpacas, chickens and a pig. She always wanted to be a vet and moved to Melbourne following high school to pursue her veterinary studies. She graduated from the University of Melbourne Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. After graduation, she worked at a rural veterinary clinic before making the move back into the city to work at Fitzroy Veterinary Hospital, where she’s been part of the team since 2020.

Estelle enjoys meeting all the new clients with their puppies and kittens that come to the clinic, as well as seeing all the regular, long-standing clients and their beloved pets. She has special interests in chronic metabolic disease and palliative care.

In her spare time, Estelle enjoys cooking, going for walks around the Inner North with her cheeky Whippet Bert, and reading a good book beside her squishy-face cat Dumpling.

Office Manager

Melanie joined the clinic at the start of 2021 as our Office Manager and thoroughly enjoys working in the Inner North suburbs. Melanie has a Diploma in Animal Technology and previously worked as a Vet Nurse at a 24hr emergency clinic in the outer Melbourne suburbs.

Melanie loves speaking with clients and helping them with a vast range of enquiries. In her spare time Melanie enjoys hanging out with her goofy 7 year old rescue staffy Heidi. Melanie’s favorite part of working at the clinic is being able to help clients and their pets.

Melanie loves the multidimensional aspects of working in a Veterinary Clinic and the fact that no day is ever the same.

Veterinary Nurse

Kelly started with us in 2019 as a placement student and recently graduated as a fully qualified veterinary nurse. Kelly’s warm smile makes our patients feel at ease and loves all aspects of nursing.

Kelly loves the challenges that patients bring us in diagnosing illnesses and enjoys working closely with the team to care for sick patients until they are ready to go home. Kelly is originally from country Victoria and enjoys spending time with friends and family. In In her spare time, she loves gardening and a spot of baking too which she is very good at as our staff can attest to. Kelly is the proud mum of Archie, a small ginger cat who she rescued from the country.

Kelly looks forward to continued study, especially in the area of surgery which she enjoys immensely.

Jasmin Fiske
Veterinary Nurse

Jasmin was a primary school teacher in her 'past life', but couldn't resist following her life-long dream to work with animals. Jasmin completed her veterinary nursing training at the Carlton Vet Clinic in 2020, and has been a team member at the Fitzroy Vet Hospital since April 2021. Her favourite tasks in clinic are blood draws, nursing for dental procedures, and taking care of wildlife.

In future, Jasmin would like to specialise in exotic pet nursing, and to complete the training required to become a Wildlife Victoria volunteer carer. In her spare time, Jasmin loves to play music and garden, as well as take care of her pet chihuahua, cat, snake, bearded dragon, rats, and small birds.

Jasmin's tip: A dental clean earlier is better than lots of teeth out later!

Practice Manager

Olga has 10 years’ experience as a Practice Manager and comes to us from Toronto, Canada where she spent 7 years on a working holiday visa. Olga is also a Certified Veterinary Technician and has a particular interest in Dermatology and Internal Medicine.

It is Olga’s goal to make sure she knows each and every client and pet that comes through our door to make them all feel welcomed and a part of the Fitzroy family.

Olga lives with her 6 year old German Shepherd named Jixxer (who she bought with her from Canada) Feel free to pop by and say hello, even if it’s for a chat or a treat for your furry companion!

Trainee Veterinary Nurse

Johanna joined our team as a trainee nurse in 2021 and is currently studying Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing at the Box Hill Institute. Joh has been working and volunteering in the animal industry for the past 3 years, completing her Certificate II Animal Studies in 2020. Johanna has a passion for all aspects of nursing but loves making connections with our wonderful clients and their pets. She enjoys nurse consultations, surgical nursing and caring for all animals that come into her care, including wildlife!

Originally from regional Victoria Joh has cared for a large array of animals from livestock to reptiles. Outside work and study Johanna enjoys being in nature, cooking and is lucky enough to share her home with a very cheeky cat named Melon.
