The team at Fitzroy Vet Hospital are all bonded by a common commitment to the health and wellbeing of the animals we care for, but outside of work, our staff have a diverse array of hobbies and pursuits. As a team, we recently enjoyed an evening of Pablo and Picasso at the Thornbury Studio. Many thanks to Billie and Em who put on a great afternoon for us. It is clear many of us made the right career choices going into veterinary care rather than painting!

Many of you will know Melanie, our practice manager, who has been working at the clinic since 2021. What you might not know about her though is her green thumb! Last year, she bought her first home and has since been caring for her veggie garden. Produce includes crunchy cucumbers, tasty tomatoes and perfect peppers!

Think of the familiar smiling face and kindly voice on the phone of nurse and client relations manager, Belinda. Belinda spends some of her spare time bedazzling books. Focusing on this intricate work offers a chance to move away from a busy day and relax, coming back morning and morning always ready to help our clients and their furry friends.

Dr Aoife, originally from Ireland, is really getting into Victorian footy culture. With a season pass for Collingwood (we don’t judge here!), she’s regularly going down to the MCG to enjoy an afternoon game.
