The team at Fitzroy Vet Hospital are all bonded by a common commitment to the health and wellbeing of the animals we care for, but outside of work, our staff have a diverse array of hobbies and pursuits.
Many of her clients know that Dr Vic has a passion for long distance endurance events and trail running. She recently completed the Surf Coast Century in Anglesea. The run is a 100 kilometre ultra trail race through the bush, along the coastal paths and over the sand – it was a long day out! Her next event is a 3-day trail run in November in Denmark, WA.
Meanwhile, Nurse Joh, known by some as the Staffie whisperer, has taken a psychology degree at Swinburne University head on. She has just completed her first year whilst juggling work at the clinic. Joh particularly enjoys her consult shifts, taking the time to get to know her patients and their humans.
Nurse Kelly, who many of our clients will have known for many years, restores and sells mid-century and vintage furniture in her spare time. She has revived many beautiful pieces under the watchful eye of Archie, her ginger tabby. Follow her work on instagram @scnd_love_furniture.
Finally, Nurse Georgia has just returned from an exciting 8 week trip across the UK and Northern Europe. Some of the highlights include riding an Icelandic pony and whale watching in Iceland as well as meeting some chic Parisian pooches and dapper Scottish doggies.
