Kissa is a 5 year old Bengal cat that was presented to the clinic with a swollen sore paw after taking a fall off a balcony. She was admitted to hospital for pain relief and a general anesthetic to perform radiographs. The x-rays showed that Kissa had fractured one metasarsal (toe) bone on her left hind paw. Our veterinarian applied a Robert Jones bandage (thick, supportive bandage) and recommended strict confinement to rest. Kissa's owner was unable to confine Kissa at home so she stayed with us in the cattery where she was closely monitored. After three weeks of bandage changes Kissa is doing really well and is due to have the bandage off soon.
