"Inca", an 11 year old cat, first came to us in October with a sore left hind leg. X-rays and examination under general anaesthetic of the area confirmed that the ligaments in Inca's leg were torn and she needed complicated surgery to fix the leg.
The leg was stabilised with four pins and an external fixator. We were all very happy to hear three days after surgery Inca was putting some weight on her bandaged leg and having a quiet recovery at home. She then came in regularly for bandages changes and post operative checks of the leg over the next two months and her owners were helping with physiotherapy. Finally it was time for the pins to be removed and Inca came in for another general anesthetic to have them taken out. She is doing well at home and we expect her to have a full recovery.
