Little Miss Coco presented to our clinic this month after her owner had returned from work to an unpleasant surprise. Coco had been involved in an altercation with another dog. Coco's left eye had been affected the most and was found to be visibly protruding. Coco was quickly assessed by our team and it was determined that vision in this eye had been lost. Our Veterinarian recommended that the best option would be to remove the eye.
That same day, Coco underwent a general anaesthetic in order for the Veterinarian to perform an enucleation of her left eye. The surgery went incredibly smoothly and Coco has made a miraculous recovery. Since then, she has returned to the clinic for her post-operative checks and suture removal and is doing wonderfully. We are thrilled that she is doing so well, and is back to her normal daily life!
